Yoga besides being a physical and mental practice that brings many benefits to people who practice it, it’s also a professional opportunity. Therefore, from the NGO Yoga Sin Fronteras we have set the goal of offering free yoga training courses to young people at risk of social exclusion and without financial resources.
This training will provide them with tools to improve the quality of their lives thanks to techniques such as meditation and yoga postures and to develop a professional career as well, because at the end of the training they will receive an official certification that will certify them as a yoga teachers.
To do this we will cooperate with Health Warriors, a South African NGO that helps find job opportunities and create paths to health and well-being for young people in Cape Town. These young people have been practicing yoga for years, but they cannot afford an official yoga degree. Yoga Without Borders will provide them with not only free classes but an internationally recognized training thanks to your support and the sponsor of Sampoorna Yoga India, the issuing certification school.
After an intensive month of training (7 am- 7pm Monday through Saturday), participants will get an official 200-hour degree, the most common certification offered by yoga schools today. The course covers the fundamental elements of yoga anatomy and philosophy and provides the skills and knowledge needed to design and teach a class with confidence.
Donate today and help us make thes Yoga Teacher Training happen. With your support, we will provide a personal empowerment tool and a real job opportunity for participants. Your contribution will allow us to cover the expenses of:
– Material: printing yoga manuals, t-shirts and mats.
– Local transportation for teachers and participants
– Diets for teachers and participants
– Rental for the studio
– Salary for an anatomy teacher
– Hosting of teachers
Yoga in South Africa is an increasingly popular practice and therefore an activity with many job opportunities. Your donation will help young people without resources to develop a professional career teaching yoga and also contribute to the benefits of this practice reach more people. We can’t do it without you.
